Exposition personnelle

Exposition — sans invitation de la part des organisateurs et avec le concours de Herman Daled — sur les limites de la liberté de l'artiste vis-à-vis de la société, parallèlement à l'exposition "When Attitudes become Form", organisée par Harald Szeeman.

Sans autorisation, environ cent panneaux publicitaires dans la ville sont recouverts d’affiches rayées blanc et rose, pendant la nuit précédant l’ouverture de l’exposition.
Cet affichage sauvage conduit la police à arrêter Daniel Buren et à le mettre en prison pour 24 heures. Tout le matériel fut mis au pilon.
